Wonderful Weather
We have had some weird and wonderful weather this week, yesterday we had rain and very low sea mist, thunder and lightening and beautiful blue skies.

We are delighted to confirm our first sighting of a newborn seal pup earlier on this week. Not only are they extremely cute but also the newborn seal pups are fantastic swimmers. Seafari Rescue Sailor in Thunder Storm
We had just got back in from the last trip of the day yesterday when over the radio we hear a catamaran in distress not far from Easdale. The weather had just turned and it had got dark quickly. Thunder was rolling around and sheet and fork lightening were flashing.

Nesting Birds !
We are all avid birders here at Seafari Adventures, and have been getting very excited over some of the nesting avians we have had so far this summer. Here is a snippet of some of the birds here on our trips that have been spotted on either a nest or with chicks:

Jubilee Week Round Up
Whilst it seems the South of the UK has been battered by rain and winds this past week Oban and Easdale have had gorgeous blue sky, sunshine, dolphins and whales!
We have had a busy week, with lots of wildlife tours, whale watching tours, charters including a visit from Kilchattan Primary School, and a day trip to Colonsay too!

Whales in the Corry.
Even though yesterday wasn’t the sunniest of days, it was brightened up by another sightings of a Minke Whale. All on board were delighted by the sighting which was in the Gulf of Corryvreckan (The Corry).

100% Dolphins
Yesterday was a great day, we started off on a whirlpool special - nice and early at 7:15, but it was worth getting up for as Crew Nicola had her first sighting of a Minke Whale!! On the way back to Easdale we spotted a massive pod of about 30 dolphin!
We were all very excited, and hopeful that we would be lucky enough to see them on the first wildlife trip of the day too!

Drop into the Worlds 3rd Largest Whirlpool
We have our last whirlpool special of June running this evening at 19:40, and only a few seats remaining!
This mornings whirlpool special was not only special in terms of seeing the Corryvreckan in full flow, but we had great sightings porpoise, dolphins, and a Minke Whale!

Jubilee weekend - the story so far
YESTERDAY, saw us used as part of a corporate event, with two boats chartered by accountant firm RK Harrisons to transport 17 people from the Puffer Bar and Restaurant to the Loch Melfort hotel via a Corryvreckan tour. They certainly enjoyed themselves, as the boats played around each other. We had porpoise and even minke whale sightings during the tour.
